2019-2020 Chapter Officers

President - Lexey Yager

Lexey, 10th grade, is part of the Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies. In her time in FFA, she describes some of her favorite memories as Parli practices, National Convention, and the Chicago trip. She says it was "fun experiencing new places and developing deeper bonds with other members of our chapter by spending so much time together." During FFA Week, Lexey can't wait for roller skating on Wednesday! In her time as President, Lexey would love to encourage others to become more involved in our chapter. She also wants those not in FFA to be more educated on what it is all about because it is such a great organization that offers countless opportunities that can help someone grow as an individual.

Vice President - Jeremiah Geise

Jeremiah, 10th grade, is a part of the FFAmily. From his favorite CDE of Animal Science Skillathon to his 3rd place in Agricultural Sales at D9, Jeremiah has been breaking new grounds and having fun within the chapter. During FFA Week, Jeremiah always loves the Hog Roast and Dance. His goals for our chapter includes seeing more involvement within our chapter and inspiring other to believe in themselves.

Secretary - Joleigh Geise

Joleigh, 10th grade, is part of the Chaplins family. She loved her first year in Parli and her first time winning state through scrapbook. Her favorite FFA week activity is the Hog Roast and Dance, specifically the Greenhand games. Joleigh's goal for our chapter is "to make it more welcome and enjoyable for all. [She] also wants others to know that we welcome all and no farm background is needed" to be in FFA.

Treasurer - Caleb Jessup

Caleb, 10th grade, is part of the Burnt Cookies family. During his time in FFA, he has spent many hours doing his favorite LDE, Quizbowl. Just some of his favorite memories include "going ghost hunting at The Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago and everything during FFA week. Even roller skating, even though [he is] terrible at it"  His goal for the chapter is to see the "development of a strong foundation of future FFA members to come after us. This is by including Discovery and Greenhand degree recipients in order for them to feel involved and eventually for them to become Chapter Officers."

Reporter - Nicholas Neuman

Nicholas, 10th grade, is part of the Peculiar Penguins family. In his time in FFA some of his favorite activities have been during Parli, specifically Speed Parli, and Dairy Judging. However by far his favorite FFA memory occurred during the water balloon toss at our Chapter Kickoff. He and Lexey won by using a second water balloon they had stuck in their pocket. During FFA week, his favorite activities are during the Ice Cream Social playing volleyball and at Church with the President as it is a time to show our FFA Pride. Nicholas's goals include becoming a three star chapter by developing our community service. Along with this, he hopes to help each member find their passion and purpose in agriculture.

Student Advisor - Grant Hill

Grant, 11th grade, is part of the Jalapeno Hotties. Some of his favorite memories in FFA were made during Livestock Judging, his favorite CDE, and while serving on officer teams both this year and last. Grant can't wait for Roller Skating during FFA Week! His goal for our chapter is to see an increased number of active members.

Sentinel - Levi Marlatt

Levi, 10th grade, is a part of the Magical Goats Family. During Small Engines, he made an amazing memory by placing 5th out of 26 teams at D9 with Michael Fudge. They had been practicing for hours and it felt great for their hard work to pay off. After all that hard work, Levi loves to spend his FFA week at the Ice Cream Social, his favorite FFA week activity. His "goal for our chapter is to focus on doing things well. [He] believes that instead of doing many activities and doing okay at them, we should focus on less activities and do each of them well. [Levi] believes quality is better than quantity."

Chaplain - Carly Buckley

Carly, 10th grade, is a part of the Fiji Family. Some of her favorite memories were made through Livestock Judging and during Operation Decoration. Even at a young age, Carly's babysitter would take her to help decorate her locker and the high school halls. Just like Caleb, she loves all the activities after school as her favorite parts of FFA week. From church with the president, to the Hog Roast and Dance, it's a great way to get others interested in the FFA. "In this chapter, [Carly] wishes for there to be more people involved with our amazing and thrilling activities"

Parliamentarian - Nick Culley

Nick, 10th grade, is a part of The Talented Turtles. Some of his favorites within the FFA include Parliamentary Procedure, hunting ghost with Keith Bacon in the sketchy hotel in Chicago, and FFA activities like roller skating and the Hog Roast and Dance. "[He] wants to make our FFA chapter something that everyone in our chapter is proud of being a part of. [His] goal is to make this coming year one of the most involved years our chapter has had. "

Historian - Ellen Williams

Ellen, 10th grade, is part of the Flying Pigs Family. Ellen has loved her experiences in Livestock Skillathon, the kickoff meeting when "Mr. Orme locked himself in his car because we kept trying to throw water balloons at him", her times spent at the FFA Leadership Center, and roller skating during FFA week even though she fell multiple times and had bruises everywhere. Ellen's "main goal is to help the ones who are shy to get out of their comfort zones since [she] used to be real shy, but [she[ have learned how to overcome it and step out of [her[ comfort zone."
